BEIJING-- The high-performance, low-cost synthetic intelligence model launched just recently by Chinese startup DeepSeek has created a wave of attention worldwide. DeepSeek-R1 appears to provide efficiency that competitors options from the U.S., but the company states it was established at less than a tenth of the expense of those designs.
