The Middle East is a region where car is king and fuel is inexpensive, typically leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.

But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In a region that has among the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
