The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can select the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior - its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills, though I recommend drying them with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a premium model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
